Ok. My iPad is still on whatever was the last untethered jailbreak. 5.1 I think. What is the most efficient way for me to do this?

When I try to update to the most recent version it won't even complete. Do I need to factory reset/un-jailbreak before updating?

Ok so what you need to do

make a backup (if you have any apps from Installous delete them before doing the backup)

Then put your device in DFU mode and update to 6.1

After it restores set up as a new device etc. Then jailbreak with evasi0n. After that is done right click on your device on iTunes and restore to your last backup
