You and I have similar taste so you’ll prob feel how I feel. It’s ok. That tonal shyt just keeps getting in the way

I’m on like episode 3 or 4 and I definitely see what you’re talking about. When they introduced Meyer’s crew and the shyt just went full on Inglorious Basterds with intros and backstories :russ: I like it but like you said they’re trying to be both IB and Schindler’s List and it’s jarring at times, and I’m not even halfway into this show yet
I think I'm currently more intrigued about the tonal shift:pachaha:

The Chi (South Side)
On episode 3.. Good show but does there have to be a reminder in almost every scene about antisemitism? Mostly referring to the flashbacks. We get it and know that Nazis are evil and pieces of shyt so get on with hunting them down and killing them. Its like every scene past or present we have to get a healthy dose of somebody either shytting on a Jewish person or actually killing them:patrice:

They should make a black spin-off. Where freed black people go around killing slave master's.

I'm going to watch the finale later today, but yeah, this show really isn't great.

Its as if they wanted to make a comic book version of "Munich", but they knew they would look racist turning Arab terrorists into cartoon villains, so the made them into 70s Nazis instead.

A conspiracy to "rule the world" is dumb in this context imo.

A cartoonish tone works in Inglorious Basterds because that's it's own "over the top" universe, but this show tries to connect itself with the real world ( eg 77 blackout, Werner von Braun). So the comic book violence isn't working for me.

It was supposed to be at the movies

not hidden on apple TV

All sorts of mid-sized budget movies don't get theatrical releases nowadays because more people will watch at home than drive out to the theaters. Just look at Marriage Story or most romcoms on Netflix.

Folks were crying out for another movie like Love Jones to be made, but The Photograph comes out in theaters and that movie makes no money.

Someone explain the last episode to me please

meyer hofferman was a german who killed jonah uncle and presumed his place. The blonde chick in the crew is a double agent, the colonel is eva braun, and as you see hitler escaped to america :heh;

Plus they're raising a bunch of little Hitler clones down in South America.

About the bolded part:
At first I thought the nun was a double agent, but when I thought back on it the next day I realized I might have misinterpreted what was happening.
On the phone call, she said "The Queen is dead, long live the Queen". So at first I thought she was talking to The Colonel's replacement in the Nazis.

But, maybe that's wrong. We know she's an MI6 member, that's not even a secret. She's always telling the group that she's getting info from her MI6 contacts. "Long Live the Queen" (i.e. Queen Elizabeth II) is probably just what she ALWAYS says when she's talking to MI6.

She mentioned that they would see the kid soon. I think that just means she's going to try to recruit the kid to work directly with MI6, instead of indirectly through the Hunters group.
