Your first sentence is an irrational, nonsensical fear that is not happening any time soon.

Neither is the second one for that matter, but if white people are gonna disappear anyway than all this sky is falling, whites are taking over hip hop panic is even more nonsensical.

Hold them thoughts in 2016:smugbiden:

Black artists need to take more stock in Image/Soul Train Awards. We should not look at the Grammys as the most prestigious awards in music. That is part of the problem. We must understand who runs the Grammys...old Cacs. This is why we need complete independence from these white "parent" labels. These white labels are the ones that pushing that garbage. Nikkas need to grow up and pool their money together in the industry and go completely digital with their music like Beyonce. The fact that they don't shows that there is bigger forces that is controlling them and helping them eat. This is a time that is should be easier for black artist to be independent. If they don't do this soon black music is done. If Motown was controlled by cacs at its inception and rise, we have been screwed long ago...but we are getting screwed now.

The true slap to the face wasn't Kendrick's loss, brehs: it was the fact that rap AOTY wasn't even televised. As if rap is some niche genre many people don't care about, like the Christian music or metal nominees (no disrespect to those genres). Rap AOTY featured four artists that went platinum - Macklemore, Kendrick, Jay, and Drake - yet it was not determined to be important enough to be televised during the show. That's the real L here brehs.

This is what happens when you have an awards show dominated by old, white people. If they don't recognize the name, you ain't winning.

Ask yourselves...if you were a white 55 year old musician voting for rap AOTY, you'd almost certainly vote for Macklemore because it made the most sense to you. Them voters couldn't care less about a socially conscious story from Compton, or the brag rap bullshyt of Drake/Jay/etc. They were always going to pick Macklemore. Just like they'll always pick Eminem.

Beautiful music can only come from black artists that are about positivity.
