There is some subtext there that Hannibal has an attraction to Will but I believe it's just genuine affection or at least it was. LOL any time two men are close nowadays, dudes equate it to homosexuality
The thought never even occurred to me.
Will is the only dude on the show....maybe in that entire world....on his level. So of course he loves him. You could even see Hannibal
when Will was on trial and they said "he's the smartest person in this room"....like "yeah, that's my boy", proud of him.Hell he even
Will for trying to kill him. I don't think it's specifically about Will, I think anybody male or female that could operate on Hannibal's level he'd love like a family member, a son, brother, whatever. Word. It's an affection that stems from him thinking Will is his intellectual equal and if there is one man who could catch him, Will would be the one. And because Will has such empathy for people, an empathy Hannibal doesn't, he looks at Will as a purer version of himself and that draws him to Will. Son was really fukked up at what happened in the season finale

Just finished watching this and preferred season 1 to season 2. Overall I felt it was decent and showed promise but never really delivered
Also, the subtext of Hannibal and Will being homasexuals

Side note:
"Hannibal" will have an hour long panel about season 3 at the San Diego Comic-Con Thursday. Apparently the NBC executives were "blown away" by the story arc for the season, I assume this is part of the reason it was renewed.

Kelly Dixon....she was just an editor. It was never in the script or scene direction that he was gay. Giancarlo Esposito was like
when he heard people thought that, because the scene was between two best friends. Later Vince Gilligan was 
"if people think he's gay, whatever" because there's no sense in alienating gay fans.Fred.
Stopped watching around episode 3 of this season (got busy with some things) and started watching it yesterday. Just finished.
Michael Pitt killed it.
The cinematography has always been sick, I'm glad Will has less of that "thinking in the mind of the killer" scenes (got annoying for me). Crazy how gory it got and NBC allowed it.
It's way better than season 1. However, I do think some of you guys are slightly overrating it. I can't pinpoint what it is that makes me feel that way but I don't find the same enjoyment in it as I do with The Wire, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire and True Detective.
