Yeah but it doesn't need a major network to pick it up. AMC or FX would be a great home for the show, those networks tends to give the producers/creators alot of leeway to push the realm of good tv. I can only imagine the amount of ideas NBC execs turned down from the creators of Hannibal.

How does this work though? Does NBC have first rights to the show? can the creators be like " yeah, we appreciate what you've done for us but we'd rather move networks"? I do know NBC/CBS etc pay better than cable though.

I don't think the creators should do that, I'm saying if it gets cancelled. No sense in unnecessarily rocking the boat.

NBC doesn't outright own "Hannibal", a company named Gaumont International Television does. Similar to how AMC never owned "Breaking Bad", Sony Television does.

Here's the thing: Gaumont International Television is a French company, they sell the rights to broadcast the show around the world. For the U.S. rights they charge NBC basically pennies, so ratings don't matter much at all.

Having said that, if NBC is dumb enough to drop the show, another network will pick it up just off the strength of how cheap it is to produce. There was already interest in the show moving to another network when season 1 ended, and NBC was looking at it like :ld:

As soon as other people showed interest though, they renewed it.

I love what FX has been doing the past few years but I think they have somewhat of a full plate. They're about to launch the strain and tryant this summer.

AMC should since theyre lookin real flabby with all these spin off shows they have planned

Lets just hope it doesnt go to amazon. Im not gonna buy prime..id have to eat off torrents and or dl sites.

Granted all this talk is premature but NBC is known for fukking up

Sorry but no way should jack and bloom keep any kind of job after Hannibal gets caught . They did a bad job keeping him in the loop after he became a suspect . Taking lass to see Hannibal ?!!! Letting will associate with him ? Bad decisions

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
So we gon front like Hannibal wouldn't have the made the GOAT QB then GOAT Coach with the amount of plays and audibles he's running outchea. I think we need a full season of seeing him commit all these murders in full. Im tryna see how the fukk he moved his whole operation into Chilton's guest room :mindblown: muhfukkka got the strength of like ten peop.......:ohhh:
bruce lee would look skinny/small in the right clothes

shyt dexter looked like a normal nerd except in a few episodes they'd show you his psycho rage with his shirt off

i mean just to carry a human body and hoist it up in some of these positions, you gotta be pretty damn strong

i imagine he's been training and studying and doing all types of shyt all his life to train to be a killer

everything except cover his long ass hair up when committing crimes but :yeshrug:

And they really don't push/plug it that much on NBC. For every 1 Hannibal preview there is like 10 - 15 for shows like crisis, believe etc NBC execs are fukking up. Damn even FX would :eat: well if they managed to Hannibal.
Which is hilarious to me because Crisis is fukking terrible.
Overly convoluted and just a fukking mess.
The fact that Hannibal isnt being mentioned as one of the greatest shows on tv right now has me :mindblown:
This seems like the type of show people won't really appreciate until it's gone.

:snoop: its supremely garbage breh, like i tried to watch 2 eps and was left with the :beli: at how bad it was. They seriously dumb down shows because apparently alot of folks would miss themes, motives and ideas :snoop:

NBC does not have enough quality programming to let Hannibal go. I got a friend that works on the board, expect to get at least one more season if not two. Friday nights are a graveyard for most TV shows so it essentially needs to hold serve. They have basically nothing to replace it with. The loss of the Office and 30 were major setbacks. NBC is the lonely fat girl at a party at 1am, she'll take what she can get.

hannibal on amc :banderas:

when they move shows to other networks how does that work do they just continue off the same season?

cause i assume they'd have a different viewership on a different channel and they might not be up to date on the past two seasons
