I played maybe six hours total of GTA Online when V dropped in '13. I recently started up on the PS5 out of sheer curiosity. As someone who is a strong advocate for single player & single player DLC, I can see why Online gets so much heavy traffic & attention from R*. This is actually crazy and there so much to do. Obviously there wasn't anywhere near the amount of content that's available now ten years ago. I actually have a reason to hit up convenice stores and use the in game internet.

I wish this was current gen only so we would have the instant load times from the SSDs on XSX and PS5.
That wouldve been a real game changer for this game over better graphics / reflections and more traffic.
My brain fukked up; because, when I read "current gen" I'm still thinking PS4/XB2
But, you right. They made a big deal with the "Enhanced and Expanded" and GTA on my PS5 is still barely "better" than on my PS4.

It also consistently brings in revenue for Rockstar to the point that they abandoned RDR2.
Right now, online mode alone is keeping GTA 5 in the top 20 of Steam's top selling games global chart.
It just goes to show how painfully out of touch some dudes are on here
