That's the OG? WTF!

Why didn't this one get cleared. This is crazy. The replay sounds similar but this version sounds better imo.
I think the sample clearance budget was incredibly small. I think only one or two beats on GDMM have samples, and even then they might be interpolations or replays.

I hated the retail version of the GDMM title track when I heard it, but I'd heard this OG version a fair amount earlier. But the retail version has grown on me.

IMO the OG version sounds more musical and a little more mysterious, but I also like that the retail version has more empty space in it, and I think the bars stand out a little bit more.

I like both versions for sure, but I also like that the OG is the version that inspired him to write it in the first place. He said he wasn't planning to write a song that deep, but he got a batch of Al beats and this one just brought it out.

Now see the bolded is one where I prefer what we got. I always thought the preview version of JP Caddy sounded kind of unfinished, and I think the final version sounds more full and a little more musical. For some reason I don't think the OG version would've been as big of a hit.

But I definitely wouldn't complain if it leaked either.

And I definitely agree that the OG Drumwork is better

GDMM title track is one of my favourite tracks on the album along with Stressed I’m glad the OG leaked though it’s just slightly better imo but I love both

As for Johnny P’s Caddy for me I think when I first head the snippets they were previewing I was like “woah what’s this, this is fire!” So when Tana 4 dropped and it was a little different I was like “okay this isn’t what the original previews were but it’s still dope as fukk to me, like GDDM I still love both versions.

OG Drumwork is miles better and I hope the CDQ of this leaks some day. But it didn’t make it and it is what it is.

I’ll be honest I was super hyped for the album and I was a little underwhelmed after first hearing it, Joints like the title track, Stressed, Guilty, So Much More, we’re the stand outs on first hearing and still are my favourites, I also love John Woo Flick & Piano Love too but I think I burnt myself out listening to them when they dropped as singles. Same thing with JP Caddy when that dropped as a single. I found myself playing Tana 4 & still do more than I play GDMM.

Joints like wild chapters I really dislike novel on the hook knowing Anderson Paak was supposed to be on that. Drumwork like I said I was thinking we would get what he originally previewed so I don’t really play that much. Tear Gas should have been a Conway Solo imo it gets no spins from me, same thing with Lock Load, Babas I usually completely skip & the Joint w Jill Scott is okay but doesn’t really stand out all that much to me

What did you think of the joint they all jumped on w Mary J on the deluxe of her recent album?

Had a quick skim through and I think these are the differences

Lock load - Conway Solo no Beanie Sigel

Tear Gas - Same as retail?

Piano love - ^

Tru Bethel - Better Quality I think?

I Am Feat. Stefflon Don (Prod. by Hit-Maka) - Not on the final Version

Vita (Spoons House) - Better Quality again I think?

Rae x Ghost - Not on the final version, 1 Conway verse then 5 mins of instrumental

Wild Chapter - No Novel verse (thank the lord!) - Hoping the Anderson Paak on the hook joint leaks.

John Woo Flick - same as retail?

Guilty - ^

Stressed - ^

Babas - ^

GDMM OG Version

Bang Feat Em (why did he put em on this.)

I think you nailed it. Yeah, Rae and Ghost is just Drumwork (the OG beat version) but no verses from Skeese or 7xve

I'm real interested to see how this leaked. I was really hoping for the AraabMuzik joint.

im sorry, but after finding that it was piano sample that was replaced.. the whole piano sample added nothing to what was the finished version of God Dont Make Mistakes to me
not on some snob type stuff but that whole sample wasnt that big of a deal in my opinion
