"30 goons on the stage at The Brit Awards"

"In '01 we showed you what TT's were"

Nothing but real talk in that track there. So Soild were the best to ever do it UK wise IMO.

They were a black collective from South London getting Number 1 singles (when the charts mattered) top 5's, top 10's, winning Brit and MOBO (again when they mattered) all while making street music talking about guns, violence, drugs etc.

No one will ever repeat what they did.

they even had hits down here too, there was a little window where them, Dizzee and a couple of others had some hits here but i never got into it much, didn't like the sound of the voices mainly and back then i wasn't feeling the beats but i might have to go back & check them out

I don't think Akala has made a Grime track in his life but yeah most of the albums in the OP are must listen. Get on listening to Dot Rotten, Wiley, Bashy, Wretch 32, Roll Deep, P-Money, President T as soon as possible. Dizzee Rascal's album "Boy In The Corner" is the best Grime album ever, listen to that first.

What grime tapes/LPs should I be listening to in 2016 brehs.
There isn't much to be honest Grime had a good year last year but 2016 has been pretty dry. Kano's album is great but it's not really Grime, Skepta's album sucked, and Wretch 32's album wasn't Grime and it sucked. Grime has never really been a album based genre its more about individual songs.

All I could think of for good Grime projects recently is

President T - "Greatest To Ever Touch Down"

Honestly I listen to UK rap a lot more than Grime these days especially when it comes to albums and mixtapes. I'm listening way more to stuff like

CasIsDead - "Commercial 2"
Giggs - "Landlord"
Bonkaz - "Mixtape of the Year"
Kano - "Made In The Manor"
Black the Ripper - "Motivated Stoner"
