Part "Breath Of The Wild" clone, part mobile game, part pay-to-play, part MMO.

Now, all that sounds terrible. Don't get me wrong. But the game play videos look fun and the previews of the beta for the first 20 hours are saying it's a great game.

Free-to-Play Action RPG Genshin Impact Launches on PS4 in September

It has heavy monetization features which is why it's free. But everything you can buy for real money, can be obtained in the game. It'll just take longer.

For example, there's something like 18 characters to unlock. You start with 4. You unlock the rest with random "cards", kinda like how you unlocked guns and characters in "Mass Effect 2" multi-player. It's completely random, but you can buy additional cards with real money for more chances.

There's all kinds of stuff like that in the game, that impatient people can spend money on.

Didn't realize it was F2P. Gotta see what that entails when it drops.

I haven't played D2 in about two or three weeks now. And that was after getting carried through some Raids.

I'm just burnt out on chasing carrots at the moment. Probably won't get Beyond Light till next year.

Combat gameplay loop had better be be super addictive for this one.

Production values look a cut above normal games like this. Some real money was put into this.
