Only good takeaways from this are that the W14 is finally looking and performing like a proper racing car, and more points Lewis gained on Checo.

I'll give Merc a half pass today. It was of course another strategy that could only work with Lewis at the wheel. But if you remove Danny Ric from between Lewis and Verstappen, I think today we celebrate.

If I can get Lewis to overtake Perez it would show how impressive this season has been. In the Merc dominant years it was rosberg or Bottas as the runner up.
Lando was a piece of shyt again, rolls out the red carpet for Max but is moving in the breaking zone against Lewis. Hope Piastri leapfrogs his bytch ass next year 
Just too many things going against Lewis today. He was good off the line but got blocked by Leclerc who had a bad start. Then Mercedes keeps him out for at least two laps too long, which costs him over 4 seconds and he also got a lock up. Then Mercedes follows up on their stellar strategy with a 3.6 second pit stop
Then Lando and Ricciardo cost him over 2 seconds and even Leclerc, on a completely different strategy, was fighting Lewis instead of trying to preserve his tires for the rest of the race

Still happy Lewis didn't crash into Lando. That move I the braking zone was nasty.
The best trick Max ever pulled on them is making them believe they're all friends. It's one of the weirdest patterns of deferential vs petty treatment on the track. Lewis' own teammate even gets in on it from time to time. Albon in a Williams will fight Lewis harder than an Alpine or Aston Martin who he's actually fighting for points with. Charles is the only one who equally scraps with both of them.
That said, if Lewis finishes 2nd it's one of his best seasons in history because the car has been mostly mid.
