Iā€™m convinced George and Leclerc are fraternal twins (George got the height). The scream george let out when he crashed was the same octave as Leclercā€™s at the French GPā€¦.aaaaaaaaaargh.
:damn:
It's the same scream Charlie Brown does when he goes to kick the football and Lucy pulls it from him :russ:

As I suspected going almost two seconds faster than Lewis on the outlap and then .680 on the next lap probably cost George the race win.

But even before George ruined his tires Lewis was catching up by .500 a lap :whew:

George got in over his skis thinking he had to get to the front immediately. But, Iā€™ll cut him some slack. Heā€™s far from the only driver that wouldā€™ve nuked the tires in the same situation. Lewis had the advantage of being the second car.

shoulda hit up AT. they pay Yuki to DNF :troll:
Red Bull driver pipeline is such a farce. It worked before Vettel took his titles, but then they tried to capture lighting in a bottle and wound up tossing drivers to the side left and right. Once they decided Verstappen was their focus, the second seat has been doomed, and anyone in TR/AT was on borrowed time. shyt fell apart when they went outside the program and put Checo in. They could have kept Albon and tried to accelerate his development, but that meant he might have been a potential threat since the rookie was driving Verstappen's setups better than the other people they had in that seat. Red Bull simultaneously makes and breaks dude's careers.

Of course Reddit is now acting as if Sainz's strategy of backing Lando into Russell is some god tier shyt when it happens frequently in motorsport :skip: . "I always knew Sainz was a smart racer

It's probably one of the more annoying aspects of the sport. There is a cerebral component to F1. So everyone becomes an "expert" strategist or aerodynamicist when discussing it. Ironically, their "unique" insights tend to parrot something literally everyone head a commentator guess at or say offhand and they condescendingly pass it off like it's general knowledge any "real" F1 fan should know. This type of person's "favorite" racer is often some nikka from the 50-60s (when racers weren't even being consistently broadcast and there was next to no parity; in addition to the high variance in skill level back then). It's tiring. I probably enjoy the F1 talk here more than anywhere. Folks are generally open to having honest discussions about the sport without the tribalism and condescension you see elsewhere.
