He is at this point, but now McLaren looks like they have a genuine pace advantage over Mercedes. I don't think there's anything that can really be done.

If Lewis was in 2nd, do you think Piastri would have hunted him down and overtaken him?
McLaren has come alive since Silverstone.
Overtaken probably not, but I think he would have hassled him until the pit sequence and undercut him. For a good while the gaps were stable around 1.8-2 seconds, then the shyt just sorta fell off.

Lack of grip on the Hards, not making any appreciable difference on the gap to the front, but they need to move George out of the way soon.
