I've never see him do this and on the second gif cr7 would have probably dive already after the first contact

CR7 was/is very good at tricks, he are alike in that they often use speed to beat their defenders. They're really good with longitudinal movements but struggle with lateral movements that often require quick change of pace and deft touch.
