Does Amorim need to change/adapt his set up? How common is the 3421 in Portugal? I know for years that Benfica and Porto have generally been 442/4231. Due to Conte using it everyone knows how to play against it now in the Prem. Obviously Amorim had a good record in Europe but you could argue that it was system that was built over a 4 year period and had the personnel moulded knowing how to execute it properly.

no. he needs more thugs. more grit. more speed. more gamesmanship. more percentage ball (esp. on set pieces)

Honestly I think the formation change is the best thing that could happen to the club.
