There has to be a firesale like when Roman took over Chelsea in 2003 or this problem is likely going to persist for years. It's something rooted in the culture of the club. They can't even attract the same caliber of player anymore.

With Tottenham and Arsenal in the ascendency they will continue to struggle unless they take drastic measures. Man City has firmly replaced them as the establishment club of Manchester.
I knew this squad was bad, but it's actually worse than I thought.

No new manager is going to come in and help this team. It's entirely too dysfunctional.

I've seen a few of the current top sides in the championship play, and I mean it when I say, Man United would struggle with even Hull and Watford at the moment :picard:
