He did, but it seemed more like the defender sold the contact more than actually being brought down. I just couldn't find any evidence to support that in the replays

It's rather complicated beyond Barca are broke boys. The socios are putting on the pressure they want to win at all costs. So Laporta is trying navigate socios La Liga the creditors etc. What Laporta is selling is basically the same thing that got Barca into this mess in thr first place.
