they style of football in the EPL is not modern enough. They are just now starting to play better football but most of the top teams(except Chelsea) got such glaring weaknesses that get exposed against top teams from other leagues in the CL.
Take Arsenal for example. They could have won the league many times in the past decade if they fixed their defense and not go for bargains every year. The one time they spend money(i.e Sanchez, Ozil...) is in positions they were always strong in. Koshielny finally settled down and became a decent CB and what did Arsene do? go out and buy the slowest defender out there in Mertsecker(cant spell his fcking name
) , in a league known for its pace. 
- Spent all these years refusing to buy a GK and kept Szczęsny. What did he do when he finally wanted a new GK? get Peter Cech that Chelsea let go because they didnt think he was good enough anymore.

They need leadership, the big difference between them and the late 90s early 2000s IMO and the 98 defence was just nasty. I didn't believe it until the 2002 team that went to the world cup with the top scorers in EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1 just crashed out after Zidane was injured and they had Viera/Makelele too. Germany took 2 tournaments to finally win a tournament after the talented 2010 and 2012 team lost in semis. I don't think you will ever see a team mismanage talent as much as Argentina has done for the better part of 2 decades now. They have produced more number 9s in the last 5 years than Brazil has done since Ronaldo and at some point had midfield options like Veron, Mascherano, Cambiasso, Riquelme. Almost all their guys played way below their level for the NT and that includes Aguero, DiMaria,Higuain and Tevez. If you gave Brazil any of their strikers they would have probably performed better. Losing 3 straight finals doesn't help either and many teams make radical changes after that type of run.Messi gets suspended for four fukking games, and these bytch ass nikkas sat Dybala and Aguero.The spread is -0.5.
