Cristiano Ronaldo insists he's got 10 years left at the top as he pens new five-year £365,000-a-week deal with Real Madrid

Cristiano Ronaldo signed his new five-year contract at Real Madrid on Monday and declared - I've got 10 years left at the top.

The 31-year-old has signed until 2021 but hinted in the presentation at the Santiago Bernabeu that he wanted to finish playing aged 41, declaring his latest deal his 'penultimate' contract and said 500 career goals for the club was not beyond him.

Ronaldo remains the club's top earner with his extended deal although his £365,000-a-week wage is not set to change substantially. He is already their all-time top scorer and if he sees out his new deal he will have spent 12 seasons at the Bernabeu – one more than all-time greatest Alfredo Di Stefano.

Reports are gathering weight that Inter forward Gabriel Barbosa could join Empoli on loan.

The Brazilian is yet to make a starting appearance for the Nerazzurri, and was firmly out of favour with sacked boss Frank de Boer.

It remains to be seen however, whether the 20-year-old is part of new Coach Stefano Pioli's plans, but Calcionews24 reports that Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has come up with the idea of a loan move to the Tuscan club.

This would allow the former Santos man to gain some valuable playing time in Serie A, but the coming weeks will determine whether or not Pioli wants to keep Gabigol in Milan.

He had offers from Atletico and Juve, but he chose to go Inter :snoop:

At the very least he should have waited until the end of the season before he signed with that clown show in Milan
