He's just short of confidence. He's one of those who's bottom level is horrible when he's in poor form.

Being short on confidence might explain Rashford not being able to complete a five yard pass, trying to dribble through 4 defenders, terrible shooting and always, always being offside.

But being in poor form doesn't excuse you from pressing, tracking back, running on to passes, running onto deflected shots and walking around looking like your dog died out on the pitch

I had burned some of these games out of my memory until reading this.

Getting turned over by Aston Villa had me on edge

Yeah the Villa one I remember. The Norwich one and even before that the 88/89 title winning team getting turned over by United 4-1 when Michael Knighton came onto the pitch to do kick ups when he was about to buy United.
