He's still a work in progress obviously. But what's the current verdict on Vinícius Júnior?

“Had a spark when he first started but now he’s just average”.

From the little I’ve seen of him, it seems like he’s hit a wall as far as his development. He still has the speed, skills and tricks but his decision making and end product haven’t improved since he first hit the scene.

Rodrygo is a far more impactful play than Vini.

Gignac was always an excellent pure 9. Only issue he had was his discipline and ability to stay fit (as he was often overweight) which is weird because he seems to maintain well in Mexico of all places :russ:

After Marseille, he could have went to the EPL for a couple of years as his style of play suits it well. 20 goals a year, good finisher, physical and strong in the air. A good 9 for a upper-mid table team. But he chose Mexico and he seems to thrive there so it was a good choice nonetheless.

I will always remember his shot off the post in the late minutes of reg time in the Euro 16 final. If that went in, Eder would have never come off :mjcry:
