The Americanisation of British politics & its discourse over the last 5+ years has been crazy to watch.

I knew it was game over last year when just before the election some cac at work who knows nothing about politics called Corbyn an IRA loving terrorist sympathiser :gucci: he literally couldn't name 5 MPs if you asked him but he knew how to regurgitate all the talking points from the right.

2016 was really a watershed moment for politics. From the time the brexit vote came in and it was proven that Boris/Farrage ran their campaign on misinformation, the lack of public outrage made it obvious that twitter headlines and xenophobia is more important than facts.

shyt’s only gonna get worse when we officially leave the EU at the end of the year and people will still be looking for someone to blame for the country being shyt instead of actually holding the government accountable for being retards :manny:

These same people that are telling Rashford to “know his place” are the same people that were saying footballers should be donating to the NHS at the start of this pandemic.

Jesse Marsch restoring the feeling. Bit like Wenger with how reckless he is. :whew::to:

With how random the results are and quality of play, this year in football reminds me of 2005. All the top teams are transitioning (see: shyt).

So I'm hearing Madrid were getting hammered 2-0, Hazard comes off the bench and Real find a way back in the game :sas2:
