Don’t even think Arsenal were that bad. First half they should’ve scored.

Emery is what he is, not making a sub until Leicester scores was criminal. He’s too cautious and he will never change that.

Lacazette is a hole in attack away from home and against technical teams. Pepe on a wet pitch, you don’t try him? Especially when you had no real width.

This is what infuriated me the most. Laca often times was play damn near as a 8...30 yard in the Arsenal half. Ozil meandering at the center circle playing like a false 9? No Pepe on a wet pitch on the road? How easy would it have been to just have Luiz dump it long and have Auba or Hector run on to it.

He had a shyt first half. But in the 2nd even Guendouzi started picking out passes and they lead to nothing because Laca is having to drop back and Ozil ain't bout to beat NO one for pace.

Literally, tactical ineptitude. Its hard to start blaming players for receiving shyt instructions.

Garbage in/Garbage out.

The way they had us setting up before the game was Ozil as a 10 in behind Laca-Auba.

What it actually ended up being was Ozil as a false 9, in what turned into a 5-4-1 with Auba and Laca ending up as second wing backs.
I'm sure it was supposed to work how United played vs Liverpool with Auba and Laca being split strikers with Ozil exploiting the space in the middle.
But they both just ended up dropping deeper and deeper the more the game went on.

Also it was pretty clear they were told not to press and keep shape until they reached our final 3rd, constantly backing off, scared of opening up the game because of Vardy's pace. Even then for Vardy's goal we were way too lax closing down. Ricardo when he played the ball into the box had 4 yellow shirts around him, and not one goes to close him down.

Clearly he underestimated Leicester's ability to open us up through general play.

Even before Bertrand got sent off, Leicester were doing the exact same thing vs Soton 3/5 at the back.
