Sturridge wasn't called up to the England team?
He's been fit for about 5 mins, let him get to 10, before he gets called back up. From Southgates POV, at best he is 4th choice, behind Kane, Rashford and Sterling. Not due to talent, just that Southgate has players he knows he can rely on to be fit, Sturridge you cannot say that, harsh yeah, but his injury record says unfortunately he cannot be trusted.
Sturridge needs to concentrate on playing for Liverpool first.

We’ve got the defence of a pub team. Lustig has been worse than useless for about 3 years now and hendry was never Celtic class in a million years, he was shyte when he was at Dundee and now he’s completely out of his depth. I don’t really blame him but I blame the idiots who spunked 1.5 million quid on him.
Plus Brendan is clueless in Europe. We looked dangerous on the break all first half then we start the second camped in our own box even though our defence can’t be trusted.

This is why Ive always felt Brodge was overrated. His teams play good attacking football and is tactically flexible with his formations, but often struggles with a plan b if his main plan isn't working. His teams often don't know how to grind out a result when their backs are against the wall.
