Hendo going nowhere :birdman:

I am one of the people whose indifferent about Henderson. He reminds of a less skilled Lucas Levia towards the end of his Liverpool career. A dedicated albeit less injury prone work horse. If you watched the England/Liverpool games with him in action, he's an overzealous runner/passer and and just bombs them forward. Everything he does Emre Can could/can execute better. The last three managers before Klopp and after Benitez didn't have the same market power. So I understand why we got/couldn't move him. Yeah I know he's got people loyal to him, I'm/was the same way with Sturridge/Balotelli but a difference in opinion can be discussed without resorting to violent means so ......

Continuously picked for us by the last 3 managers when fit and for England (should really be captain) who hadn’t lost in 30 games with him playing til Croatia and was the best player for them at the tournament.

He may not play a sexy role but his pressing, tactical understanding, breaking up of counter attacks, ball retention/recycling are invaluable. He also dictates our tempo and the difference when he plays and doesn’t is noticeable, especially when he comes on as a sub and while he doesn’t get to show it all that much he has a fantastic passing range and good shooting, again doesn’t get to show it much these days due to his position, not to mention the off the field captain duties he performs. Emre could only dream to be the player Hendo is :mjlol:

A certain portion of our fan base just can’t seem to accept the fact that he took over from Stevie and he’s never gonna be Stevie nobody is but that’s on them :manny:

He has been a vital part of all our recent success (Top 4 finishes, cup runs), still maintain to this day we would have won the league the year we came 2nd if he hadn’t got sent off against City at the end :mjcry:

Only after signing a new contract he is here to stay and will be starting the majority of games now he’s back up to fitness and sharpness, even with the two new signings you can quote me on that :sas2:

Has been a mainstay in the team since Kloppo took over and along with Firmino the only players to not be replaced, Kloppo is ruthless and far from a fool so if he wasn’t carrying out what was asked of him he wouldn’t be starting. And when he lifts that trophy come May nobody will deserve it more :blessed::to:

And yes when I see Hendo slander especially after his godly performance against PSG just a week ago  I will resort to violence :demonic:

You mentioned all the talking points I was gonna counter against him and even brought stats and dates. Had to look up his contributions and Pool is moderately better with him on pitch. However, as I see it this Klopp project he's doing needs a tinge of midfield creativity to pair with Keita. Hendo/Firmino staying on just shows Klopp likes players with some dog in them. Who can chase/hustle/terrorize for 90 mins if allowed. As I said though when I look at role Henderson plays and other Liverpool players who've held a similar style he's just.....there. I'll be real though part of me wished he'd evolve into a Xabi but he never seems to boss the midfield in that way. Like I cannot think of a match I looked at and said man Henderson really's holding IT down.

Dudes career was revived at Valencia last season. Bakayoko might need to do the same. I remember that U-20 WC where Kondogbia and Pogba were tipped to become the next generation for France. Some people even felt like Kondogbia could have surpassed Pogba.

France just produces top defensive/box to box midfield talent year in year out.

Side note: I wonder which African nation would be the deadliest on paper if all their eligble players played for them instead of France, Belgium, England etc.
Breh was one of those players us Arsenal fans swore Wenger shoulda signed and stupid not to, along with Ben Arfa, Carvahlo, Valbuena et al:mjlol:

I've never seen this before. The French team training for Ronaldo before the 1998 final

Desailly :dead:

Coach: Ronaldo always dummies with the left and goes over with the right. Never the other way round.

Desailly: He did it to me in Milan. I didn't see the ball. Whether he goes to the right or to the left you don't see the ball:gucci:. ...phew..phew..phew...Wheres the ball? It's like magic.

Thuram: :russ:. He stays there like that, you look down and the ball is gone

LMAO

Ronaldo in the cut that's a scary sight

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has told Paul Pogba he will not captain the club again because of concerns about the midfielder's attitude.

Pogba was told of the decision before Tuesday's Carabao Cup tie with Derby.

Mourinho has attempted to underline his authority after an error by Pogba led to Wolves' equaliser at Old Trafford on Saturday and the player's subsequent comments criticising United's tactics.

Pogba, 25, tried to play down his comments in a tweet on Monday.

In his programme notes for Tuesday's game with Derby, Mourinho said he was unhappy with some members of his squad.

"[The game against Wolves was] an important lesson; a lesson that I repeat week after week after week, a lesson that some boys are not learning," he said.

"Every team that play Manchester United are playing the game of their lives, and we need to match that level of aggression, motivation and desire - 95% isn't enough when others give 101%."

Paul Pogba suggested on Monday that too much had been made of his comments
Following last Saturday's 1-1 draw, Pogba said the wanted the team to be able to "attack, attack, attack" at Old Trafford.

"We are at home and we should play much better against Wolves. We are here to attack," said the France World Cup winner.

"When we play like [that] it's easier for us."

Pogba - who rejoined the club from Juventus for a then world record £89m in 2016 - fell out of favour at United last season and suggested he was dissatisfied with life at Old Trafford.
