Unless Barca are paranoid about Neymar convincing Coutinho to join PSG this summer, I don't get them trying to buy him this month. The league title is all but wrapped up, and he wouldn't be able to play CL this season. And he might not even be first choice right now.

This is the fact. United were absolutely desperate and knew they had no choice but to put up with Jose's antics. To be fair he might have dissed Scholes but was careful enough to repeatedly praise him as a player and even state he's part of the reason the Club was as successful but he would always stick one in as a manager. Jose has also had a chip on his shoulder because he was never a player at any level. So it is what it is.

If i was on the board, I'd tell coutinho that you're not leaving in the winter, wait till the summer and fukk doing a pre deal now. Make that paper in the summer when his stock rises even further.
