But a WC ? It's about the team. I don't know if you saw the game but I couldn't help to admire Ukraine, all out of fuel after being at 150% since the 1st minute but still gunning in counters for a third goal with a 3 against 1 at the 89th minute !!! These dudes wanted to finish us off and that collective fighting spirit is what we lack. Simple as that. We're too soft, we are too sure of ourselves, we are too arrogant. Hell, we are too french SMH.
As much as I dislike Evra, he was one of the few to reply to the Ukrainian aggressiveness and he was going hard as much as them. Deschamps is a leader and always was (since '96 in the Eurocup) and I really hoped that he would give the team the ruggedness, the aggressiveness and the efficiency that he gave Marseille or Monaco when they were on top. No, the problem is bigger than just players. Since 2002, we must have had 10 memorable quality matches... We need to like watching our team play again, we need beautiful football.
