Arsenal has troubles against Dortmund's defensive shape which is a basic flat 4/4/2. With their full backs high when they are attacking their defence is 2 against 2 and the pressing is too hard to cope and they often passed the ball to the goal to escape it. This forces Arsenal's midfield to go deeper than expected and that's why they can't properly build their attacks.

Dortmund weren't particularly impressive but for the moment tactics-wise BVB > Arsenal.

They are tying to press us but it isnt really working out to their advantage so far. Kos and Mert and Arteta keep the ball until one of the forwrads commits...then split a pass into the midfield in the space he left. Break is on. Other option, which we saw more of....spread it to Gibbo or Sagna who have acres of space on the wings due to our forwards playing so narrow. Pump in a good ball to the box, or spot a run of Ozil, or Wilshere, or Giroud and it creates havoc. See Rosicky chance and our goal.
