Why does FIFA come out so late compared to other sports games?

Well before it was to adjust all the transfers that went thru at the end of August while Madden you dont really get players being traded that late into pre-season/ start of the season. But I giess now with them automatically updating the squads weekly now on the game from fifa 13, I guess they just happy to have that date of last week of September, like COD has the middle of Nov release date
