we should get a good scouting team who have time to watch / examine thousands of players across europe.

a player of sure foot, press resistant, good short passing, robust, fast, good at tracking, 85% passing accuracy and above.

NB. if he is less good at the defensive side then control qualities have to be elite, so as to better defend via domination of possession. it doesn't seem that ETH wants to play that way but such a player would be of great value longer term.

NB. long passing is a bonus.

NB. short term loan of a sure footed carrier who can defend would be good in the absence of the ideal target. maybe even a mature player in their late 20's.
