Andy Cole was such a weird dude looking back. His reason for that beef is so petty.

After Chelsea won the Champions League he wrote a really shytty piece about Di Matteo which was so incredibly bitter. You'd think Di Matteo broke his leg or something.

Some of the quotes include:

I'll see Di Matteo this weekend as I'm playing in a veterans' tournament against him in Barbados. He'll receive congratulations for winning in Munich and he'll get lots of backslapping from players telling him that he deserves to get a long contract at Stamford Bridge.

With the greatest respect, I won't be one of them.

Di Matteo was a decent enough player, a neat and tidy midfielder in a class below the best of his generations, the Vieiras, Pet*ts, Keanes and even Dennis Wise. He fitted in with the others at Chelsea, a team full of what I called 'Tottenham players' – someone who is arrogant, flashy on the ball, makes passes to teammates five yards away and then runs to retrieve the ball. Someone who has a big name, but a soft underbelly which can be exploited when the going gets tough. Someone who wins next to nothing.

I played against him several times and he never made an impact on me like the best midfielders.

Chelsea must look at the bigger picture

It's so random that this has stuck with me all these years later since I read it :mjlol:

Man won the CL, a real fairytale story for a player at his old club and this is your take? Sad b*stard.

:gucci: he's scored in 2 different FA Cup finals.

It's not like he had complex surgery and sat for a whole season

He's supposed to come back and carry on like nothing happened

Not like he needs a run of games

:camby:

I don’t think people actually realise how long it takes for players to get back to the level they were after certain injuries, and cruciate is top of that list. Especially in nowadays game with the pace! When I was a pro I and was injured for over 3/4 weeks even that short time out takes a while.

Theres 3 different stages when you recover fitness wise. First is rehab. Second is getting the ok to join in training. You think your fit but your not!! Takes a good week to get up to tempo. And lastly the ok to be available for the matches. And no matter how much training and how fit you feel there is nothing like match fitness, it’s a different level. Most players take nearly a year after a cruciate to get back to how they were and some still never do. Falcao for example. When he joined united on loan everyone said he flopped(which he kinda did) but what most don’t realise or take in account is that he was coming back from a cruciate which like I said is hard enough let alone coming back and also never having played in the premier league. Shhhhhhhiiiiit he might have still flopped without the having that injury

apologies for rambling. Just giving an inside view

Only via promotion. He won't get an outright offer.

Ole will phuck off back to Molde and will never return. Using I've managed United that was the dream I can never see myself managing anyone else.
Convinced Molde won't take him back, they won a league title when he pissed off. Fans didn't really fukk with him either.:mjlol:

Yeah, I don't wish that Liverpool: One of our biggest rivals to slap us, I can't. :hubie:
