Ole must be stopped :hhh:

Matic + fred + mctominay? ??
McTominay picked up a knock, that's why Matic is starting. Folks thought it was tactical. :mjlol:

Van De Beek is a bench player now, if it wasn't obvious last season.

Should still be smacking Southampton regardless though.

Graeme "No nikkas" Souness at it again..

Just shows you Graeme don’t know what he talking about. Greenwood can do a job a out wide but he’s not a wide player lmao. there are things he can’t do. Which is why they bought Sancho

cos they had the right personnel for that type of ball

It's shyt football. It's nothing to do with personnel because many teams with lesser ability than that Spanish squad do the same thing just not to that level. Try to control the game by over playing and lacking intent to attack by taking the pace out of the game. No different to what Waistcoat did in the Euros when England went a goal up. Both Waistcoat and the FA both cited they want England to use the same methodology as the Spanish. Once the pace of play went out of the La Liga the overall league became shyt. Those late 90's and 00's Depor Valencia (apart from when Rafa won the league with a 6 for top scorer) Sociedad and Sevilla teams were fun to watch. Villarreal played great passing football.

The only good thing about Del Bosque team was the movement of the midfield. Other than that it was a chore to watch Spain post Euro 08. The best game of Del Bosque era is the Euro 12 final where everything clicked.
