I don't know if he has a hand in all their transfers but to the club's credit they signed Ferland Mendy and Eder Militao
But De Ligt should've been Real's number #1 target

Pogba replaces Modric, but that still doesn't solve the defensive issues. The same issues they had in the 17/18 season with younger versions of the players they have now.

Kroos, Isco, Carvajal, Nacho, Odriozola, Marcelo, Modric, Ramos. Either too slow, too old or not up to scratch anymore. Just adding Pogba isn't going to fix that.

Pogba is at his best when he has a runner alongside him and who is the runner at Real? Pogbas best run of form at United, he had Herrera doing the running for him. And as someone is going to bring up the World Cup, he only had Kante and Matuidi playing alongside him, 2 of the best b2b runners of the 10's.

The way some of y'all talk about Pogba like he is Yaya, Vieira, Davids, Matthaus, Rijkaard and while he is an excellent player who can do a bit of everything he isn't the all-rounder like they were.

Mendy has more chance of replacing Marcelo than Militao has of replacing Varane/Ramos if everyone is fit. And don't forget the pressure of playing for Real is infinite times more than playing for Lyon and Porto, how will they handle the ungrateful Real fans and media, if they don't hit the ground running straight away.

I like Cutrone dog chasing after a Frisbee mentality and that he has a knack of scoring goals off the bench. But he is limited as shyt. And in Giampaolo football you need to be technically good and he ain't. Cutrone at best is a squad player at the highest level, but his actual skill level is of a bygone era.
