:mjlol: It's just France being typically French.

They probably the most infuriating bipolar temperamental sporting nation in the world. Football, Rugby, Cycling, Athletics, Tennis etc...

When they on, they have a flair and swagger, which is in truth, pretty hard to stop when in full flow, but when they off, it's very horrible. They can play like geniuses and retards all within the same game/match/event.

You can't really call it football history when you name 2 examples :russ:

France looked bad, why are you so defensive about this?

And of course Spain looked good when they conceded 4 goals against Argentina and Portugal :francis:

France drew against an Iceland 10 times weaker than today's Iceland in 1998 after their World Cup victory with players like Zidane, worry about your own national team's results :beli:

Unpopular opinion but Mpabbe will need to adapt other aspects of his game to really reach his full potential. Right now, for the most, part he's a one trick pony. A few step overs and then full on acceleration. As he ages he'll need to elevate and diversify his game. Hopefully he doesn't get a muscle strain in his leg. A lot explosive players tear their ACLs from all the quick lateral movements. Word to NFL running backs.

Even Neymar has started to take on a more play making role outside of his previous dribble, dribble, pass/shoot.

Messi now looks like a shadow of his former self that would dribble the entire team and then take a shot on goal.

I'm really excited to see how Mpabbe progresses. I would love to see dude in the EPL.

A one trick pony with 12 goals in the Champions League and 10 goals for France at 19,he's the first to do it in history so you're completly right this is an unpopular opinion :snoop:

I would like to know how can a 19 year old one trick pony is able to score so much against experienced defenders who seen it all,Juventus defenders Chiellini and Barzagli said they never saw a young player like Mbappé after playing against him when he was 18 years old at Monaco? :jbhmm:
If you think what Mbappé's doing is overrated, the Brazilian Ronaldo only has 14 goals in the Champions League and Griezmann only 18 :francis:

Do you want to see Messi's stats at the same age? :skip:

Mbappé only played in Ligue 1 his entire career yet he has the Champions League and World Cup level at 19,normally to become world class Ligue 1 players have to go play overseas, what level will Mbappé reach when he joins a big league? :gladbron:

Go back and read my entire post. My point is as he ages his speed and agility will fade. He'll need to adapt his game as that happens.

Mbappé is also capable of being a goal pocher so even if his speed fades,it will not be a problem just like Ronaldo under Zidane. :win:

Tbf to Real Ronaldo he was unlucky when it came to the CL as a career (between only 2 teams per country, injuries, transfers). But still has one of the GOAT KO CL hattricks tho.

Is he getting much playing time at Madrid?

I hope he doesn't fizzle out or not get a real chance like Gabigol

No, but he only recently just been called up to the 1st team, due to injuries + loss of form. But it isn't about playing him, it's about him adjusting to being at Madrid, first and foremost. And he lucky he has other big name Brazilians there and also Marcelo who was him before him, (moved as a teenager and expectations to replace a legend).

Gabigol didn't have that at Inter, IIRC he was the big name Brasilian at Inter, with Miranda. Inter were a total shambles that season as well, not the best environment. Also there were concerns about his attitude before even leaving Brasil, was he mature enough. People felt that Gabi Jesus was better suited attitude wise to play in Europe at that stage of their careers.

Also because Spanish football allows for B teams to play on its domestic professional league, it's easier to integrate players into the set up and for the teams to keep a closer eye on a player then a loan deal elsewhere.

He balled with Real Madrid B, but he’s only gotten two short appearances off the bench with the senior team.

Gabi's situation at Inter was different though. The ownership wanted him, but the football people didn't. Everybody at RM is all in for Vinicius Jr.

I'm just saying it's not a good look for a WC winning team being outplayed, despite having the ball 60% of the time, by a team who's second/third best player plays for Burnley and right back who plays for a semi-professional football club.

France also played USA to a draw in their last match before the World Cup. Look at where both teams are months later. :mjlol:

Nobody should care if it's not a good look in a meaningless match.

All bias aside, I like him a lot. He’s very skilled, he can play anywhere in the midfield, and he doesn’t shy away in big moments. I don’t watch a ton of Flamengo games, but the times I’ve seen him live he’s impressed me. He’s a big part of the reason they’ve been so good this year.

A lot of people have been laughing at Dorival for comparing him to Modric, but I don’t think it’s THAT crazy. He has the talent to be that good a few years from now. You never know how someone is going to adjust to a new league and a new culture in a different country, but I think he’s a great signing for Milan.
