Nasri had plenty of time to convince he could fit in Deschamps' system and he couldn't. Simple as that. That does not mean he's a bad player (because he's not obviously), that just means his qualities can't converge with the system he's in. Without him, we beat Ukraine 3-0, drew against Belgium (which are supposed to be some boogie men) and we beat Netherlands 2-0. What more proof do you need ?
And why bother putting an individual in some stand up list or as a sub in the 23 when dude notoriously abhors being a sub. Instead Deschamps took soldiers like Sissoko or Valbuena who will STFU, follow orders and, above all, never disappointed before. Why you looking further than necessary ?
But even if you were right, where would you want Nasri to play in the NT ? We play a 4/3/3 and the midfield is loaded : Cabaye / Matuidi / Pogba are rock solid. Nasri can't play deep like Cabaye and doesn't have the defensive work-rate of Blaisou and Pogba neither their "verticality". Mavuba is there to replace Cabaye if needed, Sissoko is for Matuidi and Grenier for Pogba. On the right wing, Griezzman and Rémy are better than Nasri because we need pace and sacrifice and because when Nasri plays on the right wing he always comes to the center overloading the midfield and fukkin up our width and our right flank. Nasri's best position is on the left wing but there is somebody called Ribéry there, who's irreplaceable. And Valbuena can either play in the midfield or on the wings, so there is absolutely no place for Nasri.
And The stand up list has Lacazette and Cabella because they could help on the wings
