I don't really see all the hype for Costa tbh

He's never really looked amazing in the big games, and he isn't the most technically gifted. But Chelsea weren't really looking for those qualities in a striker; all they need is someone competent in front of goal. I guess it works out for both sides.

I'd still take him over Giroud though

I don't know if I agree about him not being that technically gifted. I mean Ya he isn't a Zlatan, RVP, Suarez, etc...but he isn't a club footed donkey either lol. In the box the ways he gets his foot onto the ball are and he runs his ass off. Exactly what Chelsea needed...a workhorse who will get shots on target and makes something out of nothing. In fairness most clubs need that. Giroud wouldn't be terrible except he is so slow and isn't confident in front of goal at all.

I personally think this whole argument is ridiculous....but this isnt a very good stance to make your point. There are countries way worse than the USA who put out a lot of world class talent.

The argument is ridiculous ofcourse haha. I know it was in jest but I was abit surprised at how the 'history and romance' comment was laughed at, maybe thats where we see the game differently. Winning is important but football is about the romance

since when does "playing on top teams" mean anything breh? you referring to james milner on the champions man city, the best team england has right?
