Honestly? If I was Movistar I'd throw the Giro in the bushes. Sky are looking weak as fukk right now and cancelled the Porte effort to focus on getting Frrome another tour. If Movistar went into the tour with a fresh Nairo as the leader and Valverde as his mans I'd have him as the favorite to win. But he's definitely not winning the Tour with a gt on his legs.

Initially he looked like a very good all-round midfielder. He could pass, tackle, score, press and link play well if not brilliantly. Even though he was built up as some fancy-dan Brazilian #10 he's really nothing like that, he's more of an #8 in the 4-3-3 system.

However the wheels fell the fukk off this calendar year. He struggles to even control the ball at times let alone do anything else. He says he's been carrying a hip injury so there's that I suppose. When he's on form he's a very good player but when he's off he is completely off, no redeeming qualities at all which is ridiculous really.

Mourinho sent Mata packing because he had faith that Oscar is an better 10 for the team. Let's hope he's right

I would've liked to see Lucas Moura in there at least coming on as a super sub...although i am glad to not to see Kaka, Ronaldinho and Robinho on the list

Valverde isn't a great teammate from what I saw in the lasts races. It was clear as day when he fukked up Purito's chances in the World Championship last year. Dude seems to think he still have a legit chance to win a big tour and absolutely wants one W because he's already past his prime. Therefore he's reluctant to help his teammates when their chances are higher. Quintana has a huge potential and I agree that he could def win this tour if he's #1 (though Froome and Sky are still favourite) but I kinda like Nairo's approach by trying himself as #1 at the lowest of the big 3 before trying it in the Tour or in the Vuelta.
