Some thoughts following this weekend's action.
-Ajax and Pool put the beats on PSV and MU, respectively. Both 5-0 victories.
-Juve and Inter at a 1-1 draw in the Derby D'italia, while Marseille and PSG played out a 0-0 in the Le Classique...Sampaoli gotta see that as a missed opportunity since Hakimi was sent off with about 30 mins left in the 2nd half. Juve should count themselves lucky to get a late penalty to keep them in the game.
-EPL is a three-legged race this year. Pool, City and Chelsea. The last UCL spot is up for grabs.
-Napoli should have a real belief that this could be their season. They're tight at the back and have enough firepower to score goals. As far as you don't concede, you don't have to score that many.
-Eric Garcia is stealing a living as a footballer. He, Kimpembe and Upamecano are fasle defenders IMO. Garcia was at fault for Real's 2nd goal. He just switch off on the rebound. Had he cleared that ball then maybe the game ends 1-1 following Aguero's goal.
-La Real misses a chance to claim a statement victory away to the Rojiblancos. With Barca off the pace and Real not as strong as years in the past, the likes of Atletico, La Real and Sevilla need to capitalize on this transition period. Atletico took the title last year. Sevilla should believe they can win it this year after challenging for the title last year till about the last 3-4 weeks.
