The RB's are so poor defensively they want someone who can track back. That's why Samu plays and so does Chiesa, so that is part of the appeal of him. Also Chiesa can play as a forward, so it covers another position as well.

But yeah Italian wingers/forwards :francis:

Why can't we get someone like Mahrez? Is that too much to ask for? :mjcry:

A) He's too old for the outlay that would be required. B) Unless you have a decent to good RB, signing Mahrez is pointless. Already exposed on the left when Theo goes on his runs. C) it ain't FIFA/PES

Not him per say..but I understand what you're saying about our RBs not being fit to play with someone like that

Because of Ibra you need work rate attacking players. And as football in general now requires your wide players to track back more now than ever, unless they are god tier players. It is hard to find a Mahrez type who will put in a shift the other way. It's why Leao and Paqman don't get extended runs in the team. Ability wise they probably the 2 most talented players along with Theo and Bennacer. But work rate wise they are the poorest and it leaves too many holes when Ibra is on the pitch, unless you're chasing the game.
