BROOOO...every team should have at least a white alternative.

Side note: African football has really improved from a technical standpoint. There's still a lack of a proper no. 10 type player across the continent. We have good defensive and box to box midfielders, but not many creative ones.
salah was cutting a swaith through zim's defense.
Closest to creative attacking for zim was billiat

Unfortunately number 10s seem to be going out of fashion in general. :francis:

Not necessarily a no 10 like an Ozil, David Silva or Mata that would function in a 4-2-3-1, but just a creative player that can pick out intricate passes in tight spaces. I agree, that classic no. 10, free roam role is falling out of fashion as the game as gotten more physically demanding, but the skill is still required.

Good example is B. Silva for city. Dude played as a 10/ winger with Monaco. The ability is still there but he's defensive contributions at City have definitely increased.

Iwobi could play that role for Nigeria but for some reason Rohr has Mikel as a 10 and Iwobi out wide :hhh:

This was the same nonsense he pulled at the World Cup. Mikel doesn't have the vision to pick out a killer pass. Our midfield last WC was maddeningly frustrating against Argentina

Just saw the Nigeria line ups for Burundi and looks like it's the same situation again :beli:

It's directors that is lacking, not #10's (#10 can either be AM or SS or in a Salah, Mane, Hazard,Messi, Neymar cases wing forwards.)
Need more Seri, Mikel, Naby types that want to be on the ball and keep it moving from deep.
