Porter ravaged Malignaggi in Powerlocks...Provodnikov hurt Bradley like he'd never been hurt before OR after in Powerlocks. Matthyse regularly wears powerlocks and is one of the hardest punchers in the sport...but they're not punchers gloves.

So what is the big deal with Floyd not letting him wear those shyts if it didn't matter?

Yo the fight happened already.....nobody is gonna change anybodies mind about the glove situation. Floyd acted like a bytch during the negotiations, but I don't think the punchers gloves would have given marcos a KO. However, we'll never know.

If Floyd was reticent of allowing Maidana to wear MX gloves...why didn't he just put it in the contract during the initial negotiations of the 1st fight...which he could've easily done. It wasn't until Garcia pulled out them custom MX gloves that the commision threw to the bushes that gloves suddenly became an issue. If the gloves that Maidana planned on using during the 1st fight had been normal mx gloves that were untampered with, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

The powerlocks provide more padding for the knuckles.. thats what those fighters preferred. . The MX or Reyes would've just made them get the jo b done easier with less protection for their hands

I seem to recall Pac's Reyes gloves not doing as much damage to Bradley as Provodnikov's Powerlocks.

I got Cleto Reyes the difference is very noticeable... They 16 oz but feel like 12oz when you punch

I can't comment on MX or Power locks...but by jus the eye test you can see the MX look way different then other Everlast...they leather looks dull N worn out
