It's a disgrace if you ask me how he has been treated.

Your hero is now washed.

In truth the final years of GOAT level players are always awkward. Check the final years of Maradona, Cruyff and now Ronaldo. You know they are a detriment to the team but you don't want to disrespect the legacy, it's difficult to handle for everyone.

Portugal manager realizing Portugal play better without Ronaldo. He probably always wanted to drop him but public disrespect a gave him a reason while avoiding a backclash from fans. The only reason he plays now is for stats.
He’s Charles Barkley with the Rockets status

It's more awkward if you don't start him and then he refuses to come on a sub. Best to start him.

Whoever still thinks there's any "science" to penalties shootouts should just shut the fukk up and realize shyt is indeed something that's decided in the moment and nothing else.

nope.

there is a science behind it and part of that is whether you are good at pens or not. whether you have the "stones"

"Balotelli missed his first competitive penalty against Napoli on 22 September 2013 when it was saved by Pepe Reina, the first time in 22 attempts as a professional.[249] In total, he has scored 38 of 43 penalties taken.[250]"

similarly some keepers are better at saving penalties than others i.e. neuer vs de gea
