They understand their audience meaning right now a significant amount of ppl watching are casual in the US or are just watching to support the country's team therefore they need to come up win non-football/soccer facts such as family or childhood nicknames or why players have their first and not their last names behind their jerseys. No one has mentioned that Robinson plays for Fulham or Dest plays for AC Milan or Memphis plays for Barcelona.

It is all fluff analysis to engage the casual non hardcore football US audience.
