For me Brasil played better without Neymar - sometimes the curse of the megastar team-mate is that you want everything to go through them and if they're having an off day you can't recalibrate.

Soon as he got off the pitch the blinkers came off and they started to play with what they had. Terrifying at times.

Don't think we've seen a "complete" looking side this tournament yet, but Brasil are up there. The depth of the squad is insane - just casually bringing on Martinelli and Jesus for a runabout at the end. Disgusting.

After seeing everyone play their round one fixture I'm saying Brasil.

They brought in more dangerous player in rodrygo. If anyone follows madrid the guy is a menace him and Vini would feast on these teams

What is up with Serbian athletes so consistently having the shyttiest politics in sports?

Other athletes even if their nations are awful will usually keep their mouths shut about it. Serbians are consistently out there pushing absolute bullshyt.
Brazilian athletes have been giving them a run for their money during Bolsonaro's reign.

My guess for Serbian athletes is that when you mix lack of education for young athletes in Europe with Serbian propensity for nationalism and mythology this is the result.

Neymar was supreme ass. Soon as he went off Brazil were playing better. Holds on to the ball too long.
If France were fully fit, it would be an easy back to back. Too many injuries, they are out of contention imo. Denmark has France's number too.

Argentina will make it out the group. But their weakness was exposed. A compact highline. You don't need to be spread out because their weakness is a severe lack of pace on the wings and zero aerial threat. If they face a team like Spain who play centrally, they can beat them. If they face France or England, they are getting fukked. Mbappe + Dembele either cutting inside for a shot or crossing from the wings seems the optimal strategy. Same with Saka and Sterling.

Overall, I think Brazil got this if they don't meltdown.

Nah can’t blame Neymar out here, Raphina was on some bullshyt missing all those chances and passes Neymar and vini were given to him, Neymar is a playmaker and he is targeted by defenders hence why they always trying to injure dude… if Raphina scored on those chances then y’all wouldn’t be critiquing Neymar at all
