Basically why soccer is the most popular sport in the world imo. 90% of the population is under 6'.
In this sport, having a low center of gravity is a gamebreaker, meaning that short people have an innate advantage.
Even though Luka Doncic played soccer for four years, he said he was not good at it because he was too tall. Yet look what he's accomplished in the NBA.
The downside is because there are so many people under 6' competition is thick. I think you probably run into more talent and people who know
how to play the game on average. There ain't a lot of people you'll have to outplay at your height when you're 6'5, they get filtered out based on that height alone. However, when you're 5'9 you have a whole bunch of competition around the world and a very wide range of talent, ability, intelligence and athleticism to contend with at that height.
