Mfs in this thread complaining about France demographic makeup like cacs. France has always been the most multi-cultural country in Europe. The majority of people in France didn’t speak French till Napoleon and their military has always been made up of Africans, Italians. Irish and Germans. The French military was so Black during WW2 it offended Americans :mjlol:

Cheer for Latin Nazis if you want to. :umad:Let’s Go Bleu.

That better not be Toussaint L’ouverture :mjtf:

yup france been attracting immigrants from other european countries for centuries before you even get to those from former colonies. giroud and griezmann's roots are in non-french countries, italy in giroud's case and germany and portugal in griezmann's case.

now i'm suppose to see a team full of black players and root for the whitest country in the new world instead because of what exactly again?

I don't mind like that but we have the quality to play better. I just hate that we are content in sitting deep just to play the counter.
That second goal, though it was off a counter, was a show of just how good France can be in breaking down a defense in the box. I get that the midfield is struggling to possess the ball, but I still think the French are better off being proactive about getting the ball into the box and working their magic from there. You can let a bunch of English chokers or a bunch of overwhelmed Moroccan have the space to take their chances against you while you sit back, but not Messi.

I mean they have Kounde who is probably the best defender in Barcelona. Varane still one of the best CBs, Konate would be starting in Liverpool if he wasn't injured, Upamecano starting in Munich, Pavard starting in Munich and Hernandez one of, if not the best full backs in Italy.

So "poor" is a weak word, poor would mean that someone is better.

Who cares how good they are relative to their club team mates or who they play for. That is not how football works :camby:

Upamecano has been worse than poor. Almost gave away 3 pens to England.

A defence has to play as a unit. The CB's need to complement each other. The manager's tactics decide how they play (what they do) and they depend on cover from players higher up the field (where tchoumeini was not good defending and rabiot was not holding position).

It was better that Upamecano missed this game and that Kounde played a more defensive minded role in midfield this match.

especially one that went out of its way to remove any signs of blackness. But have no problem appropriating those same black people's culture. Its forever f Argentina for doing that shyt as far as I'm concerned.
