Thats a lie. There are plenty of people that don't know who Carmelo is but know who Bron is. Bro is in a whole other stratosphere of popularity and influence. The point is the people you are advocating for and the people you want to bring awareness to this situation will more likely hear the message or the impact will be greater from a more prominent figure.
But they did it on the same stage. Which is the instance that SAS was speaking about. :dahell: Basically saying "Carmelo, get off the stage."

And I don't believe that to be true at all about it being PLENTY of people who arent aware of Carmelo but are aware of Wade and Lebron. I respectfully disagree.

Then you would be surprised. Lebron transcends basketball, Melo and Wade don't. So a non basketball fan can know who Lebron is and not know the other two at all. This is not that rare (I'm willing to be more flexible with wade due to the miami years). In regards to the advocacy I looked at it as not just being on stage but overall. Melo has put in more work in this area than Lebron for example but it would go further in influence if it came from Bron and not Melo. Stephen A also made a good point about Melo playoff and championship history or lack thereof. People are going to be ignorant enough to hold that against his advocacy even when it doesn't relate. But when you have less things to scrutinize about a player, it's easier for the message to be heard. I easily see unsympathetic white people seeing Melo doing this work and being mad cause he is not leading the knicks to a championship.

I can agree with this particular post much more. But what you said here unfrotunately is not what SAS said or the logic he used. He was speaking as one of the ignorant, unsympathetic cac would that you mentioned. Not as a separate party being aware of them.

May be reactionary, but shyt is much better with Max as opposed to Skip and his shock trolling and asinine claims.

Had no idea they Use to do a radio show together back in the day. Was reluctant how the chemistry would mesh but it seems to work thus far.

The first time in a loooooong time that First Take looked professional, SAS can drop the anti Cowboys shtick now because that was real awkward today.

Yeah he has to transition to a legit show now not a scripted contrived argument every segment like it was with skip. they even made both guys root for teams they never rooted for before for the show

I'm trying to give the show a chance cuz of Max but it's hard. I like Max but hearing Stephen A rant about WeeEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEd reminds me of why I stopped watching to begin with lol.

SAS is out of he league talking to Max.. and it's not great chemistry at all
..

As I'm typing this now he managed to bring race into a Tom Brady vs Tony Kohnheiser debate. . He's a one trick pony that uses yelling instead of intellect to win arguments..

Works versus a troll like skip but he sounds like a buffoon using the same tactics on Max
