I dont agree w/ SA...but there are a lot of people making this a race issue (even on here).
You just might not agree w/ how he goes about saying things...but that conversation is already going on.

well of course WE talk about it on here, but I'm just saying the general media hasn't brought up the question of race.

I know comedians joke about white kids being put in timeout, but there's definitely a segment of white ppl who believe in bustin their kids butt w/ a belt and probably a switch if they grew up in the South.

And it was definitely more important in our parents day b/c if you didnt act right in public & have good home training, white ppl could damn near kill you for little to no reason back then. So discipline was important.

SAS doesnt realize(well maybe he does) he's warping the minds of possibly millions of white people(or however many watch this show) in the way they view us. Some may incorrectly harbor stereotypes about us and then he gets on TV and goes overboard to reaffirm things they may be thinking.

He rarely if ever prefaces anything about us w/ a positive, or state that it's only a minute % doing bad things.

This makes him look like the good negro in the process, and of course he comes the "go to black guy" for all things race related on ESPN, or even Fox news. It's lining his pockets to put us down.

The basis of any sort of bigotry is ignorance and rejecting the truth in favor of what you want to see. If Stephen A. was keeping it 100% they would find a way to make that confirm their views or they would just ignore dude. It's sad that dude feels like he has to go out like that to get his bread but I wouldn't go so far as to say that he's having any impact on race relations. Everybody knows he's a clown.

Family, I've never said this about another black man before, and I hope I never say it again, but Stephen A Smith is an Uncle Tom. That's why he gets so defensive and rushes to condemn/make anything and everything about race. He wants to attack us first in order to elevate himself in the eyes of the majority. Ain't nothing new. I'm just mad that no one at the network or on an equal platform has called him out.

Actually it is a race issue. This is same white society that will criticize black folks on how they raise their kids. But will put a bullet in a black kid for walking around with a can of tea and justify it.
