4. Also he gave Jerry a life preserver during the whole kneeling situation.

All those things you listed makes Jerry feel like that they are almost there and the team is relevant in sports talk. His worst fear is the team going through the post-triplet/Dave Campo era, where they were not contenders with a dimming spotlight. Dak was in contention for MVP, and that’s good enough for Jerry. He would rather go through a carousel of coaches.

What is sad but infuriating, This was probably the best opportunity for this team to get to the NFC Championship in a Dak era. Like everything was lined up for them, but they squandered it. Those playoff 49ers losses took some of the luster out of what this team does in the regular season for me being a fan. That is why my optimism is minimal to nonexistent regarding this team
Those Arizona and Buffalo losses and HOW WE LOST also took a lot of luster out of the teams regularly season performance and minimize the enthusiasm for playoffs for me.

I didn't think we would get smacked down like this (talking about score before garbage time stat padding tuddys). I did think we would make it to the divisional and get sent home....but not wildcard.

NFC East was NFC Beast last year. This year they suck so that helped with the regular season as well and gave some smoke and mirrors. Shutting out Danny Dimes beginning of season will do that to u.

Cowboys also only "good" team that Fins beat. Other "good" teams gave them Ls and some the Ls were bad ones.

Greg Olsen got all that head and no brain what he mean it would be crazy to fire Mike

On the surface wise he's right if you go by record and how long LoPan kept his Ginger b@stard son around when he wasnt making playoffs and being at 500 for 3 years in a row until he did. Vs 12-5 3 years in a row. 8-0 at home this season. Its looks good.

But this team has been mentally weak in the playoffs since Parcells was here. 1 of 2 things usually happens in the playoffs. Last drive mistakes i.e. penalties. Or the team gets bullied early and then comesback to make the score respectable enough where the question can be asked if only the Cowboys started quicker/didnt give up those picks early etc etc. It needs a culture change but that's never happening till LoPan goes away. He's too imposing the players are too comfortable and the HC are puppets.

You say this but McCarthy has a Super Bowl in the last ten or so yrs

Cant say the same for the cowboys :mjlol:
He had a top 5 HoF QB and the 2nd best defense. They won despite him. After that 2011 KC game, his offense got figured out and the rest is history. He never adopted and relied on his QB.
