I'm of the personal belief a lot of mixed people are an emotional mess, with a constant struggle where they resent their blackness and hates whites for their racism at the same time. this racism thing a fukking trip, a unceasing psychological siege on black bodies.

Whites males (who created/raped) mullatoes and the white washing of black genes in the Americas are and have always been aware of exactly what you pointed out. The one drop rule has been a key strategy of white domination, from Brazil to Caribbean Islands to North America.
My take on it as a South African, here in SA they(Dutch and English, same crackers who jacked America) created a whole new racial category for mullatoes, "Cape Coloredes" who were different from the "Bantus".
This inadvertently is one of the only great things about Apartheid/slavery /colonisation in South Africa.
There is NO racial confusion.
That cognitive dissonance that ALL mullatoes and cross generational mixed raced people have should not be our problem.
If Kraig is struggling with his blackness and whiteness, that should not be our problems as Africans who look unambiguously black/African
