lol... completely removed from the insane arcs in Batman & Superman. Couldn't even tell you whats happening in the other Leaguer books. This the type of thing I hope Rebirth straightens out.Darkseid War has been going on for like a year
will this shyt ever end?
@Mr. Negative I am loving Starve and Saga. Waiting impatiently for the Vision v1 trade. I have heard good things about Injection. Can you let me know what that story is about?
So this whole "infinity ______" that starlin has been writing since.. before i was born it feels, is it like the ultimate non-canon Thanos/Adam Warlock masterpiece... but without an actual ending?
Sounds great broInjection is basically this: British Government saw a point in the future where humanity would just.... stagnate. So they got together 6 people from unique and weird backgrounds and simply asked them to bounce ideas off each other and come up with a way to jump humanity past that point. To make things interesting. This group included (in typical Ellis fashion)
their expert on X-Files-y weird shyt
Their best secret spy and hired killer
a super smart insufferable genius private detective
a modern wizard/magician
and a genius hacker girl
instead of merely bouncing ideas off of one another, they decided to create something new. They took a custom created artificial intelligence, taught it to have human level intelligence but not think like a human, infused it with magic and "injected" it into the internet.
What could possibly go wrong?
Story starts out with the X-Files expert in a mental ward and the wizard a burned out shell of a man. The "Injection" had been thanking/trolling them by altering their reality and throwing all of them into fukked up situations tailor made just for them.
To make things 'interesting'.
And it's starting to get a little more bold.
It reads almost like a mix of Planetary and Global Frequency. It's Warren Ellis thoroughly enjoying himself. It's full of...... Ellis' weirdness and quirky shyt and action scenes.

The DC All Access panel at Emerald City Comicon was crashed by none other than Gerard Way, Eisner Award-winning writer of The Umbrella Academy and former vocalist and co-founder of the alternative rock band My Chemical Romance. Way announced that he will be curating DC's Young Animal, a new mature reader pop-up imprint of DC Comics that will consist of four series and feature his creative direction.
The flagship title for this monthly lineup is Doom Patrol, written by Way, which will set the tone for the other titles in the series, described by Way as “comics for dangerous humans.”
"I am thrilled to help bring DC’s Young Animal to life, having been raised on experimental 80s and 90s takes on superheroes. I see Young Animal as a place to try new ideas- following the spirit of those books from the past but bring them somewhere else," explains Way. "I see it as an imprint where we can explore fine art, bold concepts, mature themes, and strangeness- with lots of heart."
"We’re excited about Gerard’s vision for DC’s Young Animal," explain DC Entertainment Co-Publishers Dan DiDio and Jim Lee. "Giving DC Comics characters different story tones and distinct art styles will result in a different look and feel for the line."

I forget to keep up with this book all the time. I want to say it was almost too weird for me but I read through Morrison's Annihilator and Nameless so I'm pretty sure I can read through anything now.
well, to be fair, it started to do the Planetary Release Schedule thing. It's only been coming out regularly for like the last 3 issues or so.
It's more..... cohesive right now, as well.
